The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) and Ghana’s National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) present the Ghana Transformation Forum. The need for long-term planning and restructuring of the Ghanaian economy is now clearer than ever. The NDPC has recently issued its Agenda for Transformation, a program of economic and social policies. In 2014, ACET published the first African Transformation Report. The Ghana forum will be the first of several that ACET will convene around the continent this year. The forum will focus on themes that the NDPC and ACET have identified as critical to the country’s medium- to long-term transformation: energy, export promotion, labor-intensive light manufacturing, local content, skills development, andtourism. The discussions will culminate in a ministerial roundtable.
