The event also seeks to prompt a conversation around the topic of supporting the developmental activities of national development banks in Rwanda.   \nThe validation workshop will facilitate an open conversation on the following questions:   \n\nPolitical influence: What is the relationship between the banks and the national government\, and how have governance structures integrated\, or insulated\, the banks from political influence\, both positively and negatively? \nOperations and performance: How have the banks’ mandates and operations evolved over the past 5 – 10 years? What has been the role of political relationships or influence in driving the banks’ records of performance?\nEnabling environment: how has the wider economic and institutional context supported or frustrated the banks’ ability to fulfil their mandate?
